Tommy Smith Scholarship Deadline:  May 31, 2019 Tommy Smith started the Tommy Smith Scholarship because he remembers how hard it was to go to college, balance a part-time job, and have a social life during his college years. This scholarship is to show students that there are people who understand all that they have to do to get an education. The scholarship is worth $1000 and only requires a 500-word essay on a specific topic to apply. Please find all details below. David Allen Franklin Scholarship Deadline:  February 8, 2019   The David Allen Franklin Memorial Scholarship program consists of a scholarship awarded over a two or four year period. Students must meet the following criteria: A. The student takes a full academic load at an accredited college. B. The student remains in good standing with the college. C. University of Alabama - National Merit Scholarships The University of Alabama has updated their 2019-2020 Merit Scholarship packages, so be sure to visit this link to view these changes and a variety of other helpful scholarship resources as well. In addition to updating Merit Scholarship packages, they have also changed when students can access their general scholarship application. Students must now be admitted to UA by December 15th before they can access and fill out the  general scholarship application for award consideration outside of our Merit Scholarship packages.  Their National Merit Finalist scholarship package has been updated and now includes four years of on campus housing (at regular room rate) as part of the award package.
