 University of Alabama Enrollment Steps

These steps must be taken in order, and Housing is selected on a first-come, first-serve basis from the time stamp of the Housing application submission. It is beneficial to start the process as early as possible!

  1.  Freshman Enrollment Deposit – this is essentially a tuition deposit. Step-by-step instructions may be found at http://gobama.ua.edu/help/paying-deposit/. It is submitted through a student’s myBama account.
  2. Housing Application and Deposit – the Housing application is available through the University of Alabama Housing website at http://housing.ua.edu/new_students/apply.cfm.
  3. [This will open in February] Register for Bama Bound Orientation at http://orientation.ua.edu/registration/.

**Students who have been awarded an application fee waiver (based on FREE lunch) also have the Freshman Enrollment Deposit waived and may go straight to the Housing application, where they pay only $25 of the $300 Housing application/deposit.
